About Jai Prakash Narayan Bird Sanctuary (Surha Tal)

Also known as Surha Tal, this freshwater wetland in Ballia district lies in the middle Ganga basin. It supports extensive marshes, seasonally flooded areas, fish diversity, and large numbers of resident and migratory waterbirds.
